Documentary
UPDATE, SEPTEMBER, 2008  Shelli and her mother, Laura spent a weekend in New York City to work on a project for a documentary on missing persons that will feature, in this episode, the story of Sheli's disappearance...there will be more information in the next two months or so as to when and where this story will air in this update....Sheli has gracefully agreed to tell her story in the hopes that others, whether they be the missing themselves, or their families and friends, will find the strength to keep on looking for their missing adult and realize that miracles do happen and, for the missing, that many of you have families that are actively looking for you and want to find you and bring you back in their loving arms,,,,it was a difficult decision for her to go public with her story but she wants to help others come home...she is NOT being paid for her story, this is strictly for the chance to help others in similar circumstances have a chance to have their families back and for their families to have them back and finally find peace from the nightmare of the missing!!!....in Sheli's case, there was nothing that would stop her family from loving her or bringing her back to our lives as our daughter, niece, aunt, granddaughter, friend, etc....we've have always missed and loved her and never stopped trying to find her....if your loved one who is missing is alive (and don't stop looking and hoping unless you find out otherwise), get all the local press you can to get their picture in the media, even years later....someone out there will know them and give you your miracle....for those of you who are choosing to be missing, try to reach out to your family, even anonymously, maybe they love you more than you can know, and you can end your nightmare of being one of the lost ones.....
TO THE MISSING!!!!
if anyone reading this site is missing and they are wanting to contact their families or someone close to them to let them know they are alive and well, don't be afraid....they are no guarantees that everything will be alright, but you will never know unless you try....if you would like to make contact through this website, you may do so by contacting us through our email address at the contact us listing on the left side of each page....when you are ready, we will help you contact your loved ones, but we will respect your right to privacy and/or time to make the decision to talk with them,.....as we did with our own daughter.....

SHELI AND MOM MEETING SOME OF NEW YORK'S FINEST!!!

Sheli was unable to be with us this christmas, but we were happy to be able to communicate via a webcam, which at least brought us the joy of seeing each other and her family members at our traditional christmas eve celebration. hopefully, next year, she will be with us, too....the road to reconciliation has not always been easy, but we're are doing well and talk almost daily....it is such a miracle to be able to pick up the phone and call her anytime and sometimes see her on the webcam....

we seem to have gotten through most of the difficult questions and answers that have come up and are working to just be happy with each other and grateful to have each other again....right now, the most difficult part is being physically so far apart, which makes it hard to get together....her dad and I are going to try to get out to oregon to visit her and see what she done with her life and enjoy time together....if money allows.....

one last thing til the next update....when you lose someone, especially under these circumstances, there are usually two reasons, foul play or personal choice.....foul play involves lack of choice on the missing loved ones part, and personal choice means the missing one made the choice to leave without further contact....yes, this one IS forgiveable!!! people do these things without understanding the pain they cause, sometime because substance abuse issues get in the way, but this IS forgiveable....there are many other reasons people leave by choice, and MOST are forgiveable....

when sheli returned, I found it didn't matter anymore....I lost her for six years and will not waste another minute in anger or confusion about it....she is back and she is sheli and she truly loves her family and she truly loves me, her MOM!!!! and I love her, that's all that matters..............God bless you all!
